Christie’s has joined with NBC Universal and four leading environmental organizations to form a unique partnership, to raise awareness and funds for the protection of our planet, culminating with the inaugural Christies’ Green Auction on April 22, the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. The carbon neutral auction will have live and online components, featuring world-renowned works of art, exotic travel packages and unique celebrity experiences.

Christie’s Green Auction will convene international collectors and members of the environmental community at a star-studded evening auction of artworks and experiences to benefit four environmental not-for-profits: Central Park Conservancy, Conservation International, Natural Resources Defense Council and Oceana. Christie’s will also partner with Charitybuzz to present a companion silent auction online throughout the month.
